M.E.P. Engineer

Cosentini Associates, New York, NY

  • Designed plumbing and fire protection construction documents with 2-D and 3-D modeling software for residential high-rise buildings across the U.S.
  • Calculated hydraulic pressure and flow rates using fluid dynamic equations based on Bernoulli's to assure safety, functionality, and compliance with NYC Building Codes.
  • Designed buildings to be LEED certified to save 25%-30% on energy usage and water consumption.
  • Coordinated efforts internally between electrical, mechanical, and plumbing engineering design teams.
  • Notable projects in New York City include The Crown Building Renovation and the Greenpoint Landing Waterfront Apartments.

Our work has ranged from corporate headquarters and campuses, high-rise commercial office buildings, and tenant interiors to libraries, museums, and performing arts centers; from large-scale mixed- use developments, hotels, and residential towers to government buildings, courthouses, and command and control facilities; and from mission-critical facilities to academic institutions, healthcare, and R&D facilities.

Interests

Apart from being a data scientist, I enjoy most of my time being outdoors. In the winter, I am an avid skier. During the warmer months here in New York, I try to escape the city and try to play as much golf as I can.

For 9 years, I was a caddie at Somerset Hills Country Club and being on a golf course reminds me of the best job I ever had. I also spend a large amount of my free time exploring the latest technological advancements in the back-end web development world and artificial intelligence.
